Katey Berry moved from New York, New York to Santa Fe, New Mexico in 1993. She began her career creating installations for “The Kitchen”, NYC, in 1991 and has since shown in galleries throughout the East Coast, New Mexico, as well as several
museum exhibitions. Her work over the past twenty-five years has spanned many subjects and mediums: installation work; portraits of microscopic life; abstract wood carvings and biomorphic clay sculptures. Berry’s focus is on creating imaginative experiences which
seeded her exploration of many materials and subjects. Currently she is creating architectural ‘boxes’ with slotted views into their wide ranging interiors. Her desire is to evoke the expansiveness and subjectivity of the boundless human mind.
