Sculptor Paula Castillo has been selected as the sole representative of New Mexico in Heavy Metal,
the fifth installment in NMWA’s Women to Watch exhibition series, showcasing contemporary artists working in metal.

Help us send Paula off to Washington in style! And don’t miss your chance to bid on a very special Paula Castillo original work!

Castillo is an acclaimed contemporary artist who has produced a range of work from avant garde anonymous interventions to large scale public work. She has exhibited her work nationally and internationally and has been awarded numerous significant public art commissions, including the metal artwork for the New Mexico History Museum in downtown Santa Fe and a large scale public sculpture in Korea for UNESCO.

This is your opportunity to bid on an exclusive piece created by Paula especially for the
New Mexico Women in the Arts.

We will accept pre-bids on this piece at
Paula’s June 14 send-off party.

Pre-bids from this event will be the
starting point for final bidding at our August 28
Tribute to Catherine Oppenheimer event.
